Water treatment technology focused on adsorption processes for the removal of contaminants from water (heavy metals, pesticides, and emerging contaminants). Materials synthesis, modification of natural materials, and the production of activated carbons from lignocellulosic materials. Constructed wetlands enhanced with adsorbent materials.
